On June 24, 2020 Gov. Roy Cooper extended the safer at home phase 2 executive order. He also mandated the use of face masks when in public. In response to the sudden rise in Covid 19 cases in Catawba County the leadership of MVBC will pause reopening Sunday School. Our new Sunday School restart date is Sunday August 9, 2020. Wednesday night Bible Studies will resume September 19, 2020.

The Question about masks...

Lets talk about COVID-19 and masks. Do we need them? Should I wear one?
At MVBC we believe that everything we do should filter through Jesus’ teaching to love others. We have a responsibility to love those people around us. There are people in our congregation that are more susceptible to Covid-19 than others. In order to love those people, our staff, ushers, and children’s ministry volunteers will wear masks to protect those more susceptible individuals from any germs we may unknowingly be carrying. In other words, we wear masks out of a concern for other people. While masks are not required in worship, we do ask you to wear one if you choose to sing.  If you attend a Sunday School class, please wear a mask. Thank you so much for your understanding during this season of life. We look forward to seeing you Sunday!
