Week 22 // Day 1

When God works through his people, he uses prophets. With Jonah, we see a prophet who is rebellious and hated God for loving his enemies.  In Hosea, we see how his story is used to show how Israel has given themselves to other gods, not to the one true God. In Amos, we see how Israel has broken their covenant with God and how their idolatry has led to injustice and the neglect of the poor. In Joel, there is the focus on the day of the Lord and the coming judgment for Israel.
